About Me
Hey there! My name is Arianna. Iā€™m a CELTA-certified English teacher with over 6 years of experience. I grew up in California but I currently live in Southern Italy where I love spending my time with my dog, gardening, cooking, doing yoga, and going hiking. I have a B.A. in International Relations and a minor in Italian from the University of Southern California.
I have a wide range of experience with nearly all age groups including young children, teens, and adults at every level from A0-C1. Iā€™ve worked with students from all over the world online and have taught in person in the USA, Poland, and Italy in both academic and professional contexts.

Why I Teach EnglishĀ
There are two main reasons I teach English.
The first reason is that my father immigrated to the USA from Poland in his late 20s, so he often asked for my help with English while I was growing up. From the time I was 15, I remember helping him edit emails and answering questions about grammar. This experience taught me a lot about the difficulties immigrants face when building a new life in a foreign language.
Then, when I was in university I decided to study Italian. I was so scared and nervous before my classes that I almost quit the program. But when I managed to overcome my block and reached conversational level, I knew I wanted to help others do the same in my native language and I accepted my first teaching position at the International Student Center at my university.
